All the pupils and staff at St. Michael’s had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. Children and staff came to school in cosy pyjamas and enjoyed a special bedtime story session complete with hot chocolate and a cookie.
Each class took part in a book swap, bringing in a book from home to exchange with a friend. Every class also read The Gruffalo, and pupils will be using this story in their ICT lessons to create animations, book reviews, and alternative endings.
All classes also enjoyed taking part in an online art lesson, adding even more creativity and excitement to the day as they recreated Whale and the Snail and Charlotte’s Web book covers.
Overall, it was an amazing day filled with fun, imagination, and a shared love of reading!
