This morning, St. Michael’s Primary School was proud to host the first round of the Malachy McGeeney Small Schools Tournament, and what a fantastic event it turned out to be! The day was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and exceptional displays of skill from all the players involved.
From the very first whistle, the children showcased outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship, supporting one another both on and off the pitch. Every player worked together brilliantly, passing the ball with precision and showing great determination and spirit.
The skills on display were nothing short of impressive — from sharp defending and quick thinking to powerful strikes and clever playmaking. There were fantastic scores throughout the morning, each one celebrated with cheers from teammates and supporters alike.
The Blitz truly captured the essence of what sport is all about — working together, showing respect, and enjoying every moment. A huge well done to all the players, coaches, and Eoin & Lauren from St Michael’s GFC Newtownhamilton who made the event such a success.
