Green Day at St Michael’s – Supporting the Royal Children’s Hospital Belfast

15th Mar 2026

Tomorrow we are excited to celebrate Green Day at St Michael’s Primary School as part of our activities for Sheachtain na Gaeilge!
Pupils are invited to come to school wearing something green to help us mark this special week celebrating the Irish language and culture. From green jumpers and ribbons to shamrocks and socks – the greener the better!

As part of our Green Day celebration, we will also be collecting small donations for the Royal Children’s Hospital Belfast. All money raised will go towards helping the hospital purchase life-saving equipment that supports children and families in our community. Your generosity will help make a real difference.
We are proud to celebrate our language and culture while also supporting such an important cause.
“Is fearr Gaeilge briste, ná Béarla cliste.”

Let’s come together as a school community to celebrate Sheachtain na Gaeilge, wear green, and help children who need our support.
Go raibh maith agaibh as bhur dtacaíocht!
(Thank you for your support!)
