First Holy Communion
On Saturday, our Primary 4 children celebrated the Sacrament of First Holy Communion in St Michael's Chapel. It was a very special and memorable occasion for the children, their families and our whole school community.
The children were a credit to themselves throughout the ceremony. They participated so respectfully and confidently and did an excellent job with the readings and bringing forward the gifts. Their reverence, smiles and beautiful manners made the celebration truly meaningful.
We are very grateful to Canon Toner for celebrating such a lovely Mass. In his homily, he spoke warmly to the children about the importance of kindness, faith and welcoming Jesus into their hearts through the Eucharist. His words made the celebration both personal and uplifting for everyone present.
A special word of thanks to the very talented Niamh Noade, whose music and singing complemented the service beautifully and added so much to the atmosphere of the Mass.
Following the ceremony, the children and their families gathered in the Rural Hall where they enjoyed beautiful refreshments and cake kindly provided by the Parents Association. Thank you to everyone involved in helping make the day so special and enjoyable.
Finally, a sincere thank you to Mrs Dodgson for all of her hard work in preparing the children for their First Holy Communion. Her dedication, guidance and support ensured the children were ready and confident for this important milestone in their faith journey.
