Since February, pupils at St Michael’s Primary School have been taking part in the Croke Park Active Schools – Active Break Every Day Challenge.
Each morning, classes have been enjoying the daily online movement videos, bringing fun and energy into their routine. The videos, filmed around Croke Park—including behind-the-scenes areas like dressing rooms and warm-up spaces—have been a huge hit with everyone! A special highlight for the pupils was spotting Miss Hill featuring in one of the videos.
A big thank you to Miss Hill and Ciara, who have been overseeing the programme and helping to promote positive health habits, encourage regular movement, and build an active culture across the school.
This week, as part of Active Schools Week 2026, the excitement has continued! Pupils have loved taking part in the new skipping skills videos, showing off their coordination and determination.
We also had great fun competing in the Counties Challenge, bringing teamwork and a bit of friendly competition to the fore.
